Assalaamu Alaikum All,
I believe in speaking things into existence. So I am claiming the title of "Muslimah Scholar" in honor of my quest to become just that.
I have studied for years on my own. But I've been told, "you're not a scholar until a scholar, or a sheik says you're a scholar", ie, getting a certificate from them or "Ijaza".
So ofcourse I looked into it, and like most thing, it could take several more years of study on top of the 20 that I've already put in to become who I am today:
Almost 30, Single mother, college graduate who works as a temp (or freelance) as I prefer to call it, while trying to get my production company off the ground, seeking to tell the story of Muslim people all over the world, InshAllah.
We'll see where this goes, but InshAllah, it will go very far, and beyond my wildest dreams both in this world, and in the next. Ameen.
